Hydrok MecMex Lifting System - Allington

Hydrok's new larger manufacturing facility is also home, at the moment, to another large screen.

The three meter Hydrok MecMex destined for Allington has been awaiting delivery and installation for a few months now. This screen has an emergency weir height of over three metres and when installed will be over six metres deep in the chamber.

Because of these factors, Hydrok designers are designing solutions for our clients based around our core products. The high vent around the outside of the machine locates with a skirt that is fitted to the machine creating a seal.

Hydrok MecMex Lifting System - Allington

It was decided that to aid with maintenance and tighter Health and Safety requirements that the screen would have Hydrok's lifting system, which enables the raising of the screen to the surface allowing for risk free maintenance and the ability for operations personnel to inspect the continuation channel under the screen in a risk free way without the screen in the chamber.

The lifting system has Hydrok's locking roller boxes which guarantee that the screen will not lift from the weir even if fully blinded. These locking roller boxes are also being used on Queen Alexandra Bridge have been ordered for more sites.
